On all of the years that I have stayed at the CBVI, the food has never tasted better than this time.
I have always stayed at the Canada's Best Value Inn before. I have never had to use a credit card before, and this time they needed it. And I tried to explain to the Desk lady about how the Online booking said that I did not need a credit card. I was disappointed to have her tell me that that did not mean anything to my particular visit

Demolition Required
In general: This is the most disgraceful location I have ever stayed in. Totally run down, outdated, full of mold and mildew. Window coverings outdated, torn not operational. No air conditioning and baseboard heaters falling off the wall. Flooring in rooms updated but cheap and coming apart. It appears to be a place for homeless to crash and do laundry. I cannot believe this facility has passed any health inspection. No access from back parking area and employee dog in back barking constantly. This is a sad excuse for a hotel which is so unfortunate as the location is prime. Hotel staff, if can be located, seem to be bothered by guests checking in or out. The slum lord who own this property should be ashamed. Canada’s “Best” should be renamed WORST. I enjoy Canada and love the people and will not let this horrible experience ruin that. Location and surroundings: Location prime due to walking distance to museums, sights and experiences. That’s why this place needs to be torn down and started over. Service: IF you can locate the employees you will be left feeling like you were an interruption. Dining: NONE. If it were open I would be afraid of that too. Room: Mold and mildew in bathroom. Useful tips: DON’T advertise this property. It should be an embarrassment.
